We have a wealth of experience when it comes to scrap cars in Newcastle and Gateshead. However, wherever you are in the UK or Ireland, you can rely on our network of trusted providers to collect your vehicle.
Scrap cars need to be dealt with responsibly, and you can trust JBM to follow the necessary steps. The logbook, which is proof of ownership for your vehicle, is required along with the key in order to scrap your car. If you do not have the logbook or key, we can discuss your options when you get in contact with us.
On collection of your vehicle, we will complete Section 9 of the logbook, and return it to you along with an ‘Intent of Destruction Certificate’. You should send Section 9 to the DVLA, and once the vehicle has been scrapped you will receive an automatic notification from the DVLA confirming this. You can find out more information about this process at the Gov.uk website.
